Vocational Education Scholarship (Second Year Vocational/Apprenticeship Student)

The Support Education Foundation is proud to support students pursuing career-focused education through trade training. Vocational schools and career apprenticeship programs provide specialized skills and hands-on experience that prepare individuals for high-demand professions.

Scholarship amount

A one-time $1,500 scholarship. Ten scholarships are available in 2026.*

Scholarship purpose

The scholarship money can be used for materials, supplies or tuition at a trade school.

Eligibility

  • Enrolled in the second year of an accredited vocational school or career apprenticeship program
  • Successfully completed the first year of the program
  • In good academic standing with the institution

* A scholarship will be awarded to ten (10) students attending a vocational school or career apprenticeship program in the state of Maryland. Applicants are only eligible to apply for one scholarship per year from the Support Education Foundation. Recipients are required to participate in follow-up surveys regarding their experience and may be requested to submit future testimonials. Educational Systems FCU employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to apply.
