Community College Scholarship

We are proud to help students complete their community college degree with our Community College Scholarship.

Scholarship amount

A one-time $2,500 student scholarship. We have 10 scholarships available in 2026.*

Scholarship purpose

The scholarship money can be used towards tuition to continue attending a community college during the following academic year.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be a full-time student attending an eligible community college and returning to the same school for the following academic year*
  • Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA

Applications

Applications will be available again in 2027. Winners for 2026 will be announced in June and the money awarded will be paid directly to the school the student will attend in the fall.

* A scholarship will be awarded to ten (10) students currently attending a community college in Maryland, with at least one winner from each region (Western, Capital, Central, Southern and the Eastern Shore). Applicants are only eligible to apply for one scholarship per year from the Support Education Foundation. This scholarship is intended to support continued enrollment at a Maryland community college and cannot be applied toward attendance at a four-year university. Recipients are required to participate in follow-up surveys regarding their experience and may be requested to submit future testimonials. Educational Systems FCU employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to apply.
