Rosemary Brinkley Business and Finance Scholarship

The Support Education Foundation is proud to preserve Rosemary Brinkley’s legacy by awarding scholarships to students pursuing a career in business or finance. Rosemary was an advocate for teaching financial education throughout her 33-year career as an educator and administrator. She understood the importance of practical business skills and teaching students something they could use to manage money in their daily lives. Rosemary’s passion to help the members of the education community to make sound financial decisions is what led her to volunteer on the Board of Directors of Educational Systems Federal Credit Union. She served on the Board for 46 years in various positions including many years as Chair.

Scholarship amount

A one-time $3,000 student scholarship. We have 13 scholarships available in 2025.*

Scholarship purpose

The scholarship money can be used towards earning a degree in business, finance or a related field at a four-year university or community college.

Eligibility

  • Graduating high school senior
  • Enrolled in a business or finance curriculum
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA

Applications

Applications will be available again in 2026. Winners for 2025 will be announced by June 16, 2025 and the scholarship money will be paid directly to the school the student will attend in the fall.

* A scholarship will be awarded to one graduating high school senior from each of the following Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Caroline, Charles, Frederick, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s, St. Mary’s and Talbot. In addition, one scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior from the Eastern Shore region, the Western Maryland region and one from outside the state of Maryland. We will only accept applications from residents of the United States who will be attending a college in the United States. Applicants are only eligible to apply for one scholarship per year from the Support Education Foundation. Educational Systems FCU employees, volunteers and their family members are not eligible to apply.
